The Easiest Cranberry Sauce You’ll Ever Make

Sharing is caring!

It was the night before Thanksgiving, and all through the house….

My side dishes for the next day weren’t finished, I ran out of flour for the six dozen cookies that I needed to bake, and the kids were already sleeping so I couldn’t even run to the grocery store.

Getting ready for a holiday party is never easy, but it’s even worse when you’re trying to make a million different (super complicated) recipes. It’s worse yet if you run out of ingredients!

I’m always looking for the fastest, simplest way to make holiday food. Whether I’m going to someone else’s house for Thanksgiving or hosting Christmas dinner at my house, my recipes have to be simple (and foolproof).

This cranberry recipe is my go-to recipe. It’s so easy to make, I always have all the ingredients at home, and there’s hardly any prep.

Best of all? I can make it in the microwave!

If you’re looking for a simple side dish to make for your holiday dinner, you can’t go wrong with this easy cranberry sauce recipe! No midnight rendezvous to the grocery store required. ?

10-Minute (Or Less) Cranberry Sauce

This simple cranberry sauce recipe is made with whole cranberries in the microwave

Ingredients:

1 12-ounce bag of cranberries (fresh or frozen)
3/4 cup orange juice
2 cups sugar
1 3-ounce box of red Jello (raspberry or strawberry-flavored Jello tastes the best, although I’ve also used cherry in a pinch)

This cranberry sauce recipe is delicious and so easy to make.Instructions:

Wash and drain the cranberries.

In a large bowl, mix the sugar and orange juice well. Add the cranberries and stir.

Microwave for six minutes on high. Let the cranberry sauce stand for one minute before stirring. If necessary (especially if using frozen cranberries), microwave for another minute or two to fully cook the cranberries.

Stir in Jello.

Refrigerate overnight.

Once the cranberries have solidified, pour them into a pretty bowl and serve. Enjoy!
